According to the World Health Organisation, 828 million people worldwide are under-nourished and exist on less than £1 a day.

For just £12 you can provide a family of four with a food parcel for one whole week. That’s just £1.71 for a substantial daily meal for a family of four.

Striving Against Starvation, our annual food parcel and daily meals programme, provides nutrition to the poorest and most deprived communities throughout the world as well as the United Kingdom, where we are working with food banks and refugee support.

Each food parcel will contain a combination of the below items:

Rice, Oil, Sugar, Flour, Spaghetti, Tea, Dates, Lentils and Beans

Conflict, the cost of living and soaring fertilizer prices are combining to create a food crisis of unprecedented proportions. Natural disasters have also devastated communities and exacerbated the need for further food and medical aid.

At Beta Charitable Trust we are committed to supporting the worst affected vulnerable communities and we cannot do this without your help.

In 2020, with your support, we exceeded expectations and provided over 4,000 food parcels.

In 2021, we further exceeded expectations by your kind generosity and contributed 4,500 food parcels throughout the United Kingdom and abroad.

In 2022, we were able to distribute 4, 760 of food parcels.

In 2023, 7,625 food parcels to families!

In 2024, 7,825 food parcels.

In 2025, 8,000 food parcels were distributed.

In 2026, 6,000 food parcels have been donated so far and 13,000 hot meals provided in this first quarter. With the support of our generous donors, we aim to provide at least another 6,000 hot meals in this coming quarter.
