With dark evenings and an unprecedented hard winter, thousands of individuals and families in the UK will experience some form of homelessness. The cost of living crisis is effecting thousands of people all around the UK, with many turning to outreach drives and food banks for support as they struggle to make basic ends meet.

5,500 packs were distributed in 2024

2023

Throughout the four campaigns, 6,000 packs were distributed in 2023.

Beta Charitable Trust have been supporting our partners Hand on Heart since 2020. Essential packs are assembled and distributed to vulnerable groups, particularly homeless, asylum seekers and refugees from the Ukraine and Afghanistan.

Each pack is seasonally filled with - Hoodies, thermal tops and bottoms, underwear, winter gloves, hot water bottle, woolly hat, deodorant, shower gel, wet wipes, tooth brush and tooth paste, hand sanitizer, face masks and bottled water.

There are four campaigns during the year -

  • Spring

  • Summer

  • Winter

  • School Backpacks

School backpacks are filled with essential school supplies and distributed to children from low income and disadvantaged backgrounds. Each backpack is tailored to meet the needs of either primary or secondary school students, ensuring students across these age groups have access to tools crucial for their academic success.
