Beta Charitable Trust are proud of the ongoing partnership with The Tamani Foundation where free nursery and primary education is provided to children in Matemwe, Zanzibar.
We are excited to share the progress of our new Vocational Training Centre, which will provide hands on training for Electricians, Plumbers, Seamstresses, as well as our professional development program and further Teacher Training, especially for treachers of English, Maths and Science.

eye camps
Working alongside our partners on the ground and with the help of our generous supporters, we have been able to facilitate 46 eye camps throughout January, February and March. This has resulted in over 2,500 cataract surgeries taking place. These life changing surgeries are vital in aiding the needy across rural areas of Kenya, Tanzania and Pakistan.
Give the gift of sight and sponsor an eye surgery today for only $60!
CERVICAL AND GYNECOLOGY CAMP
Cervical cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide and the fourth leading cause of death in women.
Alongside our partners Medewell, BCT sponsored a free screening camp on the 6th and 7th February in Kibaha, Tanzania.
390 patients were screened and 14 women were identified for further treatment.
STRIVING AGAINST STARVATION 2025
828 million people worldwide are undernourished and exist on less than £1 per day.
Quarter 1 saw the launch of BCT's annual Food Parcel Campaign. Running from March to June, SAS 25 provides food aid to the poorest and most deprived communities.
This year, our focus is Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Chad, India, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Madagascar, Nepal, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, West Africa, Yemen and the United Kingdom.
For just £12 you can provide a family of four with a food parcel for a week - that's just £1 for a substantial daily meal for a family of four.
Distributions of food aid to the poor are already well under way. Images below show this fantastic work taking place.
