We are appealing to our donors to help us support the dire situation in Tharparker, Sindh where the community are facing a terrifying famine. Tragically, the lack of food and basic health care has resulted in the deaths of many children. These deaths have been attributed to malnutrition, polluted water and subsequent waterborne diseases as well as dramatic weather changes. The deaths could have been prevented.

Tharparkar lies between India and Pakistan and is the only fertile desert in the world.

Our ground team have advised that due to the severe scarcity of food, and the perilous increase in dangerous mosquito bites, our immediate and urgent attention is to raise funds for emergency food parcels and mosquito nets.

For less than £20 you can provide a food parcel ( which will last a family of four for a month) and a mosquito net for one family. You can help the people of Tharparker and increase the likelihood that they will make it through this dreadful and terrifying famine and severe winter.
