| Empowering The People Of Parachinar With Good Health |
|
Picture a land and its people fragmented due to war, unrest and discriminatory attitudes towards certain groups. It is this dire situation that has denied the citizens of Parachinar decent health care, food supply and a regular water source. Parachinar is the capital of a region that bodrers the Torra Borra province in Afghanistan. In June this year we asked you to pledge towards equipment for a newly developed diagnostic facility in Parachinar named Hyderi Diagnostic Centre. In total £6,500 was raised. The area the diagnostic centre is situated in is extremely volatile and has been gripped in conflict for many years, conflict which is rife to this day. Due to this reason, people from different sections are often denied health care, purely because they are from a different part of the land. The new diagnostic centre practices a non discriminatory policy where discriminatory practices are simply not tolerated and are in fact totally eliminated and so welcomes and treats all who need help and advice. The funds raised have been used to purchase some vital equipment for diagnosing the patients that visit the centre and the whole community will now have access to a first class diagnostic centre. Each piece of equipment forms an integral part of diagnosing various conditions and ailments. Please see below to get an idea of the usage of each piece of equipment. Above is a Centrifuge. The Hyderi Diagnostic Centre still needs more equipment to be a fully fledged disgnostic centre. You can donate toward the Hyderi Diagnostic Centre by clicking here. |
