After complaining of back pain for some time our 13 year old patient really needed to see the doctor. Making the dangerous journey from village to surgery she trekked to find out what was causing her such a dreadful pain. Upon arriving at the doctors, they said they would need an X-ray, so as to be sure of what they suspected.

The X-ray showed the young girl had an S-shaped scoliosis of the Thoracolumbar spine. Although common in young girls, it is common in them when they do sports; Gymnastics, running, ballet and more. Not the kind of things our 13 year old girl would be doing. Now the question is who will help? I can only imagine children who take part in ballet, gymnastics and other various sports, had money to support all these activities, our young friend had the love of her parents and hope in her heart.

After the X-rays the doctors confirmed the young girl had Lumbar Lordosis, after which the centre that treated her pledged to BCT and it's sponsers who came through with a £4,000 donation toward any hospital bills. The girl is now recovering.
