| BCT provides Ambulance for Health Centre |
|
The health centre in Kibaha at Mpakani Area, around 30km from Dar es Salaam City (Tanzania) provides basic health services to under privileged people. The Centre was set up in the rural community due to following main reasons:
One of the challenges faced was the absence of an ambulance, presence of which is central to any health facility running 24hours. Furthermore, rules and regulations of the Ministry of Health state that any health facility running 24hours should own an ambulance. Also, the centre is located in a rural community where there is no easy access for public transport, especially during night time, making access to an ambulance even more crucial. In light of the above, BCT recently provided an ambulance to the Health Centre, to enable a smooth running of the operation.
