Beta Charitable Trust has donated £16,000 after the devastating news of Pakistan's worse flood and rain fall since 1929.

Monsoon flooding has left over 400,000 citizens without homes and more than 400 dead. Most died in the North-West region of Pakistan, while across the border in Afghanistan at least 60 were killed.

Several rivers burst their banks and swept away, villages, roads and bridges. Some power stations have been cut to prevent anymore electrocutions. Rescue workers and troops are struggling to reach the hundreds of thousands of people in North West Pakistan, who have been left homeless or stranded by flooding.
