Victims of Parachinar

The tribal town of Parachinar and its surrounding areas in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan witnessed a surge of violence, claiming more than 100 lives, in this relatively small town of 70,000 people. Since the attacks began, 74 lost their lives – of these, twenty five were youths aged 14 to 25 and forty seven were married and left behind 184 orphans in total. 215 individuals were also injured.

Parachinar was under curfew after attempts to calm the fighting failed.

Beta Charitable Trust donated an amount of £5,000 towards medicines as well as essentials such as clothing, food and water.
