The Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) unites the leading 14 UK aid agencies in their efforts to finance relief for the people suffering major disasters in poorer countries.

Since the committee began in 1963 they have raised over £750million, which has saved lives, built communities and provided hope for millions.

Beta Charitable Trust and its donors aknowledge the amount of important and priceless work DEC has and continues to accomplish. Because of this we have sent £5000 through the DEC to help relieve some of the anguish and pain of this famine and drought in the horn of Africa.

BCT and it's donors will continue to work with DEC and it's many partners until the effects of the famine and drought are eradicated. We will work DEC and many others until education is available to all, at an affordable price. We will work until there is a fresh, clean drink in every hand. We know you will too.
