Building, Changing, Transforming Lives ❤
Pamoja Leo Food Programme
We are pleased to announce we have moved full steam ahead with the food programme organised by our friends at Pamoja Leo! Their team have put in place a schedule providing porridge & fruit in the mornings and a cooked Swahili lunch for the young children. We are over the moon they're able to provide 2 quality meal for kids each day! Your funding has also enabled the purchase of a new fridge for kitchen so food can be kept fresh as well as the salaries of the staff running the programme.
Junnar Housing Project
BCT has been continuing their efforts in Junnar, located in the Pune district of the Indian state of Maharashtra. We have been constructing houses to provide accommodation and shelter for the desperate families living in the surrounding areas of Junnar school. The houses of these families are literally shacks that are crumbling around them and extremely basic of nature. The photos below are just one of the many houses being completed as we speak and thanks to the hard work and determination of the ground team, Mrs Begum finally has a secure roof over her head.
Eye Camp Story: Omari
Young Omari Abdullaa, only 5 years old, was seen at our recent eye camp in Bukoba, N. West Tanzania and has cataracts in both eyes. BCT have made arrangements for the young boy to be treated later this month in Dar-es-Salaam.
Three of our brave ambassadors have conquered Mount Everest's base camp to raise money to build 7 water wells, each well producing 2,500 litres a day for 400 families. Their fundraising continues as they train towards running the London Marathon on the 22nd April. Keep an eye out on our social media and website for updates.
