From Mountains to Marathons
Our team at Beta Charitable Trust are truly in awe of our three great ambassadors; heroes who have been campaigning for clean water for Tanzania.
This April, Ali Ghalib Sheikh, Ali Walji and Mohammed Sheikh embarked on the huge challenge of climbing over 5000m high to the Mount Everest first base;
all in the name of building water wells for those in need.
On top of this momentous challenge, only one week later Ali Ghalib successfully completed the London Marathon (running 26.2 miles during the hottest London Marathon ever recorded at 24.1 °C!).
One water well in Tanzania costs £1100 and thus far they have raised an incredible £14,997.
We are completely blown away by the strength and perseverance shown by our amazing ambassadors, and would like to thank them abundantly for choosing to support Beta Charitable Trust. The goal was 14 wells and the boys have managed to raise this themselves. As a gesture of our huge admiration and appreciation, BCT will be donating towards a 15th well, ensuring that even more communities in remote villages in Tanzania will be able to access clean safe water.
Please do check out their Just Giving accounts, and support our incredible and worthwhile cause. We can never have enough Wells for Tanzania!
