2018 Eye Camps Summary
In 2018 a total of 52 eye camps were sponsored by BCT, providing much needed eye care and surgeries to those
living in destitute areas of Tanzania, Kenya and India including; Tabora, Bukoba, Morogoro, Arusha, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Garissa, Luknow and Aligarh.
Over 20,000 patients were screened of which 4,500 cataract surgeries were performed, restoring vision to thousands of patients who would have otherwise lost complete sight in either one or both of their eyes.
In addition to this, many eye camps held screening clinics resulting in the distribution of thousands of pairs of Spectacles and 145 other eye related surgeries were performed across Tanzania alone.

A huge thank you to all those who have contributed towards these eye camps. Your support and donations have
made an important impact in aiding the restoration of sight for many who had otherwise lost hope. Another massive thank you to our partners on the ground, especially the on-site volunteers; without their hard work and dedication, these eye camps could not have been possible.
2019 looks bright for Eye Camps as the number of scheduled clinics increases and BCT endeavours to continue to provide much needed eye care to those in desperate need of our help.
Any donation, however small, goes a long way in gifting the hope for a brighter future.
