Eye Camp Update: Kondoa/Singida Oct-Nov 2016

Eye Camp Update: Kondoa/Singida Oct-Nov 2016 - Beta Charitable Trust

BCT sponsored free eye camps in October and November 2016, organised by an optical medical camp organisation.

FREE EYE CAMP KONDOA 2016

Cataracts is a leading cause of treatable blindness and medical treatment we may take for granted in the West is expensive and unreachable for the vast population of Africa.

In Kondoa, Tanzania, the free eye camp gave over 60 people the gift of sight. Surgeries were performed for those in great need of help and many joyful faces were seen as the patients experienced newfound vision post-surgery.

We'd like to give a massive thank you to Dr. Lufunga for performing these much needed Cataract Surgeries.

FREE EYE CAMP SINGIDA 2016

In order to eliminate treatable blindness to more throughout Africa, the foundation arranged to perform Cataract surgeries in Singida, Tanzania. Over 100 patients underwent the operation, to finally regain vision through both eyes.

Old men and women blind for years are given the hope of sight. They share smiles after the eye patch is removed and they grasp the idea of sight in the previously affected eye.
